One of Whitehill & Bordon’s most popular bus routes will be run four times more frequently following a review of bus services in the town.

The Town Bus route which starts and finishes at the Forest Centre, will run every 30 minutes instead once every two hours.

A service review assessed passenger numbers to determine which routes were in demand and which were not used so heavily.

It found two of the Town Bus’s three routes were sparsely used and duplicated routes run by other operators and these routes will be discontinued.

The new bus service will now be run by Stagecoach, which will use 28 seat vehicles with access for disabled people.

Starting on Monday 12 February, the bus will operate an anti-clockwise loop around Bordon & Whitehill. The bus, number 28, will start and finish at the Forest Centre, and will serve Chalet Hill, Bordon Camp Crossroads, Hogmoor Road, Firgrove Road, Whitehill and the Tesco Superstore.

It will run on Mondays to Saturdays, except Bank Holidays, between 10am and 2pm. Alternate journeys will divert to serve Blackmoor Village.
